Pine Hills Hotel: Our "home" in Malaybalay
When we were looking for a nice place to stay in Malaybalay, only one hotel was highly recommended: Pine Hills Hotel. It is, after all, the ONLY hotel in Malaybalay City. Pine trees line up the driveway of the hotel’s entrance, so I guess that explains the name of the hotel.

What we liked about this hotel was that the Kaamulan Festival parade would start right in front of the hotel. There was a viewing stand right next to the hotel’s driveway where the VIPs sat and watched the tribes perform their street dance. It was so very convinient for us!

Pine Hills Hotel is a standard hotel that boasts of 28 well-appointed airconditioned rooms with private toilet & bath, with cable TV (signal was not so good). Wireless internet connection was available in the lobby for a minimum fee, but the signal was very poor inside the room.

They even have a small pool where one can relax after a whole day of walking around Malaybalay.

They have a restaurant in the lobby, the “Town Cafe & Bar“, where we had our breakfast. I read somewhere that they serve good beef dishes there (Kalbi Kui) but we never had the chance to try any since we ate outside all the time. When we return to Malaybalay soon, we will definitely stay here again and probably, we will get the chance to try their beef dishes.

Hi Venus. Thanks for visiting my blog. Unfortunately, I do not have other photos of Pine Hills Hotel. The banquet area would have to be the main dining area (restaurant) which I think could seat around 100 guests. But you can extend it out into the swimming pool area. It would be better to call them to inquire.

I am not sure now, but I think we paid P1,500/night good for two persons. It was reasonable considering that it was peak season at that time. Hope you enjoy your stay in Malaybalay!

Yes, they accept credit card payment. We used Mastercard to settle our hotel bill.
