When you hear that Misibis Bay in located in an island off the main Albay province (facing the Albay Gulf), you conjure pictures of great beaches with swaying coconuts. Hold your imagination just yet - Misibis Bay is NOT Boracay.
There is a small strip of “beach front” property in front of the main resort area, but it is not ideal for swimming. The “sand” is not friendly to your feet. The attendants (all too present everywhere in the resort) said that this beachfront used to be “swimmable” but the recent typhoons have swept away the fine sand and replaced it with sharp edged rocks (corals?).
They have developed another “beach front” property to the left of the resort – a small strip of beach, decent enough for swimming, but more importantly, best for the water sports that Misibis Bay offer. The non-motorized sports equipment can be used by the guests for free, but the motorized equipment carry a hefty price tag (you even have to pay for the use of the motorized golf cart to tour the whole resort – P150.00 PER person).
Misibis Bay for swimming? Maybe just OK but not great in the beach. But they have enough swimming pools to satisfy your swimming needs anyway. But for water-sports activities – GREAT!
